Fun at Kommetjie

Simon and myself decided to check out Kommetjie and Slangkop lighthouse. So we left Durbanville at 4 and took about an hour to get there.

I was suprised as we oppened the door and felt the heat, usually when you are near the beach one gets a sea breeze, but not this time.

we scouted around and found what we thought the best location. The tide was very low and the sea very calm so all the rock and seaweed was nicely exposed.

I tried a long exposure, about 8 sec using a Hoya ND400 filter, Nikon D90 24mm lens.
